Lights, Camera, Action!

designed and fabricated bus stop for a San Francsico photo shoot

I just stumbled upon this San Francisco-based company, Scene 2. I think it was this photo above of a Grey Poupon bus stop in the middle of San Francisco that caught my attention.

The young hipsters at Scene 2 have a full service design studio that specializes in 3-D media. From small scale models for a photo shoot, to large scale installations for music festivals and concerts, these people are very talented indeed!

Do you like a carnival? Mister Gnogiurzauchshoff’s Traveling Midway of Curiosities and Delights has been traveling the dusty roads of America’s great carnival past. Conjuring up memories of the traveling circus and images of America's small towns, transformed by the arrival of the carnival.

Check out M.T. Pocket's 2009 tour (above) that traveled from San Francisco to Austin, Texas!

If you're looking for set building, model making or custom fabrication, be sure and check these folks out!

This Happens to Me All the Time...You Too?

My favorite purchase from yesterday's Alameda Point flea market.

Famous last words... Ain't it the truth?

Here it is on my bulletin board...

Isn't This Pretty?

Found via Uncle Beefy's blog, from here.

I am very tempted to buy one, but with the cold temperatures in San Francisco, I'm not sure when I'd have the opportunity to serve chilled lemonade. Maybe just for decoration? Why, throw in the cake plates too while I'm at it!

I May Have an Addiction...

To Facebook, that is.

I was one of those adamant people who swore they would never join Facebook. Then it happened. A friend coerced me. Isn't that how it always happens?

Suddenly I've found that Facebook has become "the great escape" -- a coffee break of sorts. When I need a break or simply want to "zone out," I hop over to Facebook to see what everyone is doing. Voyeuristic? yes. Fun? absolutely.
  1. Where else can you see loads of family and friend's photos all in one place? Okay cousin Sara...leave out the sonogram photo...seriously.
  2. Where else can you see what your old boyfriends from high school look like 30 years later? Yikes!
  3. What a brilliant way to keep up-to-date with everyone's birthdays!
  4. Privacy, shmivacy...we're all exposed now, so what the heck?
  5. And seriously, it's great for business. Start a fan page and stay in touch with your customers. Follow other fan pages to see their updates. Pets for adoption? 1/2 off sale on fry pans? All in one place.
So there you have it. I'm thinking of a 12-step program to curtail my use, but don't think there is one out there yet.

Tell me, are you addicted to Facebook?
